Thumbnails

With Wallreel

Wallreel

Thumbnails: the gallery as the site serves it. Hover one, wait, it's wrong, move on.

Wallreel: the same page, same search, every tile playing at once and muted.

Both panels are real screen captures of the same page and the same search, recorded one after the other. On the left, the site as it serves the page. On the right, the same page with Wallreel switched on. Nothing here is a mock-up, nothing is a re-creation, and nothing is sped up.

Your system asks for reduced motion, so neither panel starts on its own. The left panel loses nothing this way: on the real page those thumbnails are still until you hover one. The right panel is a still only here. Press play on it, or open the extension, where every tile on the wall is playing and the drift can be set to zero.

Speed

The wall has two speeds, and you set both.

Set how fast the wall moves.

The wall drifts right to left on its own. Drag the slider and it changes under your hand, from a slow crawl to a fast sweep. Pull it to zero and the wall stops dead, still playing. Press the button to pause the drift without losing your place.

Drift 40 px/s

The drift control from the extension, enlarged. This one works — drag it.

Set how fast the videos play.

Every clip on the wall runs at the same rate, and you pick it. Drop them all to half speed when a detail matters and the wall stops outrunning you. Put them back to normal in one click. The rate applies to every tile at once, including the ones that arrive later.

Clips

The clip-speed control, same scale. Pick a rate and watch the tiles change.

What you get

Four things, and they all work today.

It's there before you are

Click the toolbar button and the first tile is decoding in about a tenth of a second. No spinner to sit through, no sweep to wait out — the wall builds in front of you and starts filling.

~132ms to first playing tile

Every tile still knows where it came from

Click any tile and you land on that video's own page on the site, ready to download it, license it, or open it properly. Found it is only half the job; getting back to it is the other half.

47/47 tiles verified on Pexels, 17/17 on XVideos — 0 wrong links over 2 laps

You drive it

The wall drifts right to left on its own. Pause it with a button or the space bar. Set the drift anywhere from 0 to 150 px/s. Grab it and drag to scrub back to something you passed. Slow every clip to ½× or ¾× when a detail matters. The controls fade out when you stop using them.

Drifted 28 laps over 7 minutes without a seam

It grows while you watch

The wall doesn't stop at what was on screen when you clicked. It keeps collecting as you go — one Pexels page went from 18 tiles to 86 while it ran. When a site fights the scroll and it can't reach further, it tells you the number it got instead of pretending.

18 → 86 tiles on a single Pexels page

If you want the one-line version: it's reader mode for video grids.

Where it works

Six sites, with more to come.

Three of the six are adult sites, and the table names them like everything else. Want a site added? Email support@wallreel.com with the address. I add sites one at a time, after the wall has been tested on each one and worked.

Supported sites by browser
Site Chrome Firefox
Stock footage
Pexels Yes Yes
Coverr Yes Yes
Mixkit Yes Yes
Adult
Pornhub Yes Yes
XVideos Yes No Slideshow, not video
XNXX Yes No Slideshow, not video
Chrome gets all six. Firefox gets four: XVideos and XNXX show Firefox a slideshow of images instead of video previews, so there is no video for Wallreel to collect. That's how those two sites behave, not something we can fix — so on Firefox they decline right away and tell you to use Chrome instead.

Everywhere else, Wallreel declines. It says the site isn't supported yet, leaves the page exactly as it was, and invites you to email me the site you wanted.

A site gets added when the wall has been tested on it and worked — not before.

Privacy

Your browsing is your business.

The extension has no analytics, no account, and no database. It never sends anywhere a page you visited, a search you typed, or a video you watched. It asks for two permissions, both for the payment library: local storage to remember your license, and access to extensionpay.com to check it.

$5 a month

The first seven days are the whole product — every site, every control. No email, no card, nothing to sign up for; it starts the moment you install it. After that it is $5 a month, paid from inside the extension, and you can cancel it any time from the same place.

Firefox is one click

The Firefox build is signed by Mozilla, so there's no developer mode and no folder to keep — click the download, confirm the install, done. Firefox will also keep it up to date on its own. Worth knowing before you choose a browser: Firefox gets four of the six sites, not all six.

  1. Click download

    One click

Firefox will ask whether to add Wallreel, and list what it can access.

  2. Confirm

    Done

Why it's not in the Chrome Web Store

Three of the six supported sites are adult sites, which I don't believe a storefront wants to carry — so I haven't submitted the paid build. That's their call to make, and it's a reasonable one for a storefront. It means Wallreel is distributed from this page instead, which costs you the four steps above and costs me the easy install. I'd rather tell you that plainly than have you find out at the Developer-mode toggle.

Awkward questions

Why isn't this in the Chrome Web Store?
Because three of the six supported sites are adult sites, and that's not something I expect a storefront to want to carry — so I haven't put the paid build through review. Wallreel is sold and downloaded here instead. The trade is four install steps in exchange for the site list you actually wanted.
What happens when the seven days are up?
The wall stops building and the extension asks you to subscribe. Nothing else changes — the extension stays installed and the sites work normally. It is $5 a month from inside the extension, and everything comes straight back. Cancel whenever you like.
Does it work on YouTube?
No. YouTube delivers video in a form this approach can't read — there's no plain video file on the page to pick up and put on the wall, so there's nothing to build from. It isn't a matter of adding YouTube to a list; the method doesn't apply there. If YouTube is what you wanted, don't buy this.
What do you collect about me?
Nothing, from the extension. It has no analytics and no account, and it never reports a page you visited. The only thing it stores is your trial and license state, kept locally in your browser. It does open one page on this website on the day you install it — the welcome page, which tells you where the extension works. That page view is counted the way every page view here is counted, and it reports nothing about you. Once your free trial has run out, pressing the toolbar button on a supported site sends one more empty request here, which adds one to a count of ended trials. That is the whole of it, and nothing about you goes with either one. When you pay, ExtensionPay and Stripe handle the transaction and receive your email address and payment details — I never see your card. This website is a separate thing: its server counts page views, download clicks, and copies of the link for the other browser, with no cookie and nothing that identifies you, because I buy ads and need to know whether they work. The full policy is at wallreel.com/privacy.
Does it play the full videos?
No, and it isn't trying to. The wall is short muted previews — the same previews the site itself shows on hover, all playing at once instead of one at a time. It's for deciding which video you want. When you've decided, click the tile and you're on the site's own page, where you watch it properly.
I use Firefox. What exactly am I getting?
Four sites: Pexels, Coverr, Mixkit, and Pornhub. Not XVideos and not XNXX — those two show Firefox a slideshow of images rather than a video preview, so there's nothing for Wallreel to collect. It's how those sites treat Firefox and I can't change it from here. On Firefox they decline immediately and say so. If XVideos or XNXX is why you're here, use Chrome.
What if a site changes and the wall stops working?
Email me. Sites rearrange themselves and it will happen eventually. Fixing the six supported sites is the job the $5 a month pays for. That is what a subscription is for and it is the honest version: the money arrives every month because the work is never finished, and if I stop doing the work you stop paying. If a site becomes genuinely impossible to support, I'll say so on this page rather than leave it listed.
Can I get a refund?
Yes. Email support@wallreel.com within 14 days and I'll refund you, no reason needed. The seven days free exist so you can find out before paying, but if something goes wrong after, you shouldn't be stuck with it. On a monthly plan cancelling is usually the faster remedy — it stops the next charge from inside the extension.
